The rolo chain is the simplest chain we make: round links, all the same size. Ours is 925 sterling silver, in five lengths from 40cm (16 in) to 60cm (24 in), starting at $67.74 CAD.

What a Rolo Chain Is

A rolo chain is made of round links of equal size, joined one after another. Because every link is the same, the chain looks even and plain, with no pattern to compete with a shirt or a pendant. It is also known as a belcher chain. A cable chain is a close relative, usually made with oval links instead of round ones.

Layering a Rolo Chain

Because the links are plain, a rolo chain layers easily. Lengths run from 40cm (16 in) to 60cm (24 in). For layering, wear a shorter rolo, such as 40cm or 45cm, under a longer chain, and keep the lengths a few inches apart so they don't tangle.
